An award-winning screenwriter, playwright, novelist, and podcaster who has spent the last three decades building worlds, studying cinema, and writing characters who fight their way toward meaning. I sold my first screenplay in 2008, and after 17 years of development, that project finally began filming in 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee. That long journey taught me what I bring to every creative collaboration: persistence, integrity, and a deep respect for the craft.
My work spans film, television, and audio storytelling. I host two film-focused podcasts (A Take on the Academy and Second Chance Cinema) where I combine entertainment history with research-driven analysis, interviewing filmmakers, stunt professionals, critics, and cinephiles. My style leans conversational, insightful, and accessible; I love making complex film history fun, fast, and engaging for listeners.
Narrative problem-solving is my specialty. Whether I’m writing a theoretical-physics thriller (IN THEORY), or a zombie novel which is a metaphor for teenage sexual assault (THE DEAD LIFE), or crafting media releases and story guides for ongoing productions, I approach every project with precision and a collaborative mindset. I believe in lifting others up, celebrating the work, and always aiming for the best version of the story.
No ego, just partnership.
As a writer, my voice often leans toward humanistic themes with a satirical edge (I’m not above taking a bite out of the upper class when the story calls for it). I value stories about second chances, moral complexity, and the quiet courage people don’t always recognize in themselves.
