To the Publisher of ANONYMOUS’ memoir,

In the Spring of 2012, Federal Prosecutors won the case against former Cuyahoga County commissioner Jimmy Dimora, ending the most prolific corruption investigation in Ohio history. After everything, over 60 public officials were investigated with a little under half being charged.

In the Fall of 2016, members of the Northeast Ohio press not exclusive to the Cleveland Plain Dealer filed Freedom of Information Act charges against the state Bureau of Investigations to release all records of the investigation in order for the media to inquire into the remaining county government officials.

Included in the documents released was a black-and-white composition journal which held numerous items within its pages. Sprawled on napkins of local bars and eateries, scraps of paper and menus were notes, categorizing what the author called the The Establishment for a Better Society. There was no name associated with the journal involved in the aforementioned case, and no markings that this journal was ever admitted into evidence. It looks as if there is no correlation between The Establishment for a Better Society and the case against Mr. Dimora, and the corruption of Cuyahoga County, specifically Cleveland.

The editors acknowledge law enforcement’s wish to not go public with this journal as it might hinder their investigation into it, and we politely decline. We wish to publish this journal as is and ask anybody with any further knowledge to step forward to dispute or corroborate the evidence contained herein by contacting their local FBI office (phone numbers for your local branch can be found at https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices.)

While the author’s current mental and physical state are questionable, the editors also send him their best wishes and hope he and his suggested wife, Sarah, are safe.

In the end, it must be noted that what follows may not be true…
